40 Girls and Some Shoes is a local and highly recognized Atlanta non-profit organization that collects new and gently worn shoes for men, women and children who are homeless and/ or experiencing a difficult time.
Over the past 4 years, 40 Girls and Some Shoes have collected over 10, 000 pair of shoes from individuals, corporations and organizations who believe in our mission to put shoes on all the citizens in Atlanta who need a little help while getting their lives on track.
This year on September 29, 2011 through October 2, 2011, 40 Girls and Some Shoes will partner with Atlanta’s own “Hotlanta Salsa” for their 2nd Annual Hotlanta Salsa Congress. We are extremely excited to participate in this spectacular weekend. We will have our collection barrels located throughout the Hyatt Regency Atlanta venue for anyone who would like to make a donation of new or gently worn dance shoes.
Like 40 Girls and Some Shoes, Hotlanta Salsa believes in reaching back into the community and helping those who are less fortunate.
Dancing shoes are an essential part of the art of dancing, and with your donations 40 Girls and Some Shoes, along with “Hotlanta Salsa”, we can fulfill the dream of a shoeless dancer.
